Finally a place for us fox Saleen guys to share information and advise about our particular cars.

I just purchased my Saleen in December. 1985 white w/ blue graphics. Blue LX vinyl interior, t-tops, Gold Hayashi 15" wheels. 85-49 is in good overall condition but repaint and interior resto is needed, mechanically car runs and drives very well.

Look forward to meeting some fellow fox Saleen owners in Pigeon Forge Tennessee in early May

I agree..hopefully more will follow. I own 89-0122 black/black/grey. This is my 3rd Saleen. Someday, I'm hoping to be lucky enough to find an SA10...

90SC12....a 90 red SC (I believe is #10 or 11) lives about 2 miles from me. Its red with the DP5's also painted Red...kind of weird looking if you ask me. The kid never drives it..

Yeah, it looks good too. You'll need to bring it down when the paint is completed

Great a forum dedicated to faox body Saleens. I like fox bodies so much that I bought three and I don't plan on selling them. At present I own 86-061, completely stock; 87-047, has miinor updates (GT40 heads, ssc headers, Bassani X-pipe w/cats and a Dynomax cat back system); 93-012 spyder, which is having a supercharger and new exhaust put on.

Also, last but not least, I have a 92 Steeda which is anything but stock. It is in the process of being restored and updated with a 331 amongst other goodies.

And, before anyone accuses me of . . . . yes, I am greedy and materialistic:D

On a side note, I want to thank Mark for all the help with my cars. The 86 and 93 were pruchased from Mark.

I own a 1987 Saleen #0020. I am looking for a good set of flo-fit seats in gray.1987-1989 will be the same. My seat backs have twisted back and I had them reenforsed but it only helped for awhile. If any body knows of a set please email me.
Thanks

Bart,
Good luck in trying to find a good set. To start you may want to check with Mark ar Performance Autosport to see if he can locate a set of seats for you.

If this doesn't work out, you can contact Seat Soruce in CA (909-343-9430 ask for Olivia). They sell the Flofit seats with different head rests which you can replace with the ones you currently have. Your biggest problem is going to be finding the cloth material. If the cloth material on your seats is in good condition, you can have an upholstry shop take it off the old seats and put on the new seats since there is no change in the seats (accordint to Seat Soruce). If not, Mark at Performance Autosport may be able to help you out with that. I know he had some material a while back, not sure about the color.

Hope this helps.

I have owned my 1985 Saleen Convertible since new. It has always been like driving a big GO CART... I sold Saleen's from 1986 to 1989 through a Ford Dealer. It has been a long time .... Great site!!! Hope to reinvest my play time with the club in 2004....

Part's are hard to find but they are out there.... it takes time....

Cool..the '85 convertible will surely bring some $$ someday. Very very rare car, and being a 1 owner car only makes it that much more valueable...welcome.

Barstang,

My father is the original owner of 87-189 (I think that bumper number is right --- haven't seen the car in 5 years at least), and I remember he had the same problem with the seats. Apparently, there was a recall or something on them because his were replaced free of charge, and that was well after the 12/12 expired.

Does Flofit still make these seats and have you considered contacting them? Considering the history of the factory Flofits in 87, they may still swap the frames or at least work with you a bit on replacements. Just a thought.
