I've had my S 351 R for just over three weeks now, and despite a few problems here and there, its been all great, and a dream come true. On the way home with the car the volume button decided to stop turing down...no big deal, new radio. Then a weeks or so later I started hearing an nasty exhaust leak...header bolt was loose....very hard to get to...two hours and several tools later...bolt tightened, leak fixed.
Now for the the fun....the POWER. A friend and I took the car out for some real shakedown runs. The car doesn't pull too much beyond 5200 rpms, but thats ok, there is always another gear an MORE boost waiting. I tached out fourth gear the other day to the tune of 145 mph. The fastest I've been in years. I know she has MUCH more left becuase she pulls hard in 5th gear too, but I ran out of road.
What else is great, what everone here knows to be true, the attention the Saleen gets everywhere I take it. Everyone and the brother has tons of questions about my car. Most of them are, man is that real? When I saw yes their jaws always drop to the floor. I'll be updating my website soon with the pics and history on my car. I plan on hitting tons of shows this summer. I'll be at Mobile one world for challenge in may, and maybe the falls city club show on may 10th. See you guys soon!
