Anyone know where I can find info on these rare vehicles? I do searches for Saleen, Saleen SA-10, Saleen SA10...but no info.
Anyone have a site dedicated to this?

Gabe I'm no expert but I know a few things about them, and I have seen 2 different ones in person. You could call mark at performance autosport...I know he has sold a couple of them in the past.

The best fox mustang ever built from any company in my view. However, there are only 9 of them. Good luck on getting your hands on one though, usually they are sold before the current owner decides to part ways with it..in other words, a waiting list is in effect.

ive seen two myself, one was flatout gorgeous with NO flaws, the other was well used so to speak and it WAS authentic too :wink:

It's my understanding 2 of the 9 were destroyed. One lost in a fire, the other stolen and never recovered.

These cars are in the same league as the 1965 Shelby R Models. They are typically sold collector to collector under the radar screen. I do know that they fetch upwards of $60,000+ when sold if you can find one offered.

If these cars would bring upwards of 300000 to 500000 dollars i would be suprised. Ford only built 34 R's. With the price of a shelby today this saleen will never reach the price of a real shelby, especially a R. [/quote]

What I was talking about was the rarity of the SA-10 vs 1965 Shelby R models. SA-10 cars sell for 60k plus when they are even sold. The Bob Johnson 1965 Shelby R with great history just sold @ the RM auction for almost 1 million dollars.

Ford actually made 36 R-models. Most people forget about SFM5R001 and SFM5R002. These were the two R-Model prototypes.
