Did they offer different versions of the front valance for 84-86 Saleen's? I saw an image of an 84 and 86 and they are different...

Yes, several variations were used during early Saleen production.
'84 & EARLY '85 cars (at least through 85-16) had a 3 piece fiberglass air dam with OPEN horizonal holes to the sides of the center opening.
Balance of the '85 cars had a 3 piece urethane air dam with CLOSED horizonal slots to the sides of center opening.
The '85 and '86 year air dams were made where they went straight down directly off front bumpercover.
'86 Saleens had a urethane air dam with TWIN CLOSED horizonal slots to the sides of the center opening. The '86 air dam was recessed back under the front bumper cover which decreased damage from curbs, etc.
'87 - '93 air dams were 1 piece units made of uretnane but did vary in style slightly during those years.
