All you long time Saleen enthusiast, I need your opinions.

What's your opinion on future values on the 1985-1987 fox Saleens that are NOT the typical colors of white, black, red, and gray.

I am specifically speaking of the medium regatta blue, dark sage green, or dark canyon red cars, built (converted) in very low production numbers and in some cases 1-of-1 color combination (ext vs. int vs. graphics).

Gimme your opinions...........will these cars be worth more? less? equal?

geez, you and I have the same illness. I currently own 89-122 vert, and looking right now for another. Wanting an 87-89 white hatch. Love the tilt steering and Momo stearing wheel.

I am in the same boat as both of you guys. I am currently looking for a fox-body Saleen 2 door coupe because I had always wanted to have a Saleen hatch, convertible and coupe collection. Back to the original topic, I think, being in the same condition, a rare colored car will be worth more than one in a more typical color. How much more will depend on demand and desireability. And speaking of rare, does anyone know the whereabouts of the one and only 2 door coupe built in '87?

don't know the where abouts for the 87 coupe, but here's an 88 coupe to look at...

I think you will find that any Saleen, no matter what the color, will be worth more as long as it is the original paint. Repainting a collectable such as the Saleen brings down the value instead of increasing it. The one color combination SHOULD be worth more than those that had many that color, but the value is actually maintained by the person that wants to buy the car. If there is no want or demand, the value can't go up.
