i will be driving my saleen down from AZ to be in the car show at saleens annual car show you guys are putting on.
My question is, i am becoming a member and heard that if you are one you can test drive the s281 on the track for around $100. I am currently 19 so i do not know what the rules are on that. Will i be able to participate in this?

Details on the 4th Annual SOEC and Saleen Performance Driving Event will be sent to members soon.
This is a professionally-run autocross event, and the cost is $50 to drive your own car (whatever you drive), or $125 for a Saleen-provided car. Lunch is included in the cost and will be served at the track.
Helmet use is at your discretion, and you would have to bring your own. (All participants must sign a waiver of liability, and be advised that most car insurance policies don't cover any damage to the vehicle if incurred in such an event -- but this is a controlled environment and we're here to have a good time, not to take chances.)
Passengers are not allowed, unless they are a paid participant, or optionally an instructor will be a passenger to observe and/or give you pointers.
Responsible drivers (even at age 19) are welcome.

phenix, I'm hoping to be there too. I went to the first one, but I haven't been to one since.
Will you be driving your Saleen on the course?

i paid the 125 to drive the saleen provided car 8)

I didn't attend last years event, but I sure enjoyed the 1st annual event. I took my own Saleen that time, but I'm thinking of paying the $125 to drive one of theirs this time. I'm pretty sure I'd pay the $125 if I knew we'd be driving the '05 Saleen.
