I'm the original owner of 91-0065 (white coupe), and just decided this past week to bring her back out on the road after a long time in storage.

As expected, she started right up once the battery was connected, and all was well for a few days, but the years of inactivity have taken their toll on some of the parts, and yesterday the urethane bushing for the left rear shock gave up the ghost.

I have been unable to simply find the correct bushing to replace, but it seems as though the Formula GPs are no longer made so I was considering removing them to preserve for the future. I'm leaning towards KYBs, but I'll still need the urethane bushings as well so if anyone could give me feedback on the KYBs, and perhaps a source for the shock bushings I'd appreciate it.

Check with Mark @ Performance Autosport. He did have a few sets of the Monroe Formula GPs on hand. www.performanceautosport.com

I talked to him yesterday to see if he had a lead on the bushings, and he told me about his sets of NOS shocks and struts. The truth is, however, that there is absolutely nothing wrong with mine besides the bushings. I was wanting to take them off, clean them up, and preserve them for future restoration while I use the KYBs, but I have to save up for new shocks and struts all the way around so I was hoping to fix the bushings so I could enjoy the car in the mean time.

Mark pointed me to Energy Suspension, but it doesn't seem as though they have the exact one I need. I guess I'll just take the car down for awhile and deal with the GPs after they are out.

If anyone has experience with the replacement energy suspension bushings on a Fox bodied Saleen or Mustang, I'd appreciate the part number.

For whatever its worth, the NOS (bilsteins) shocks and struts are better.

My struts gave out over a year ago so I had them replaced with Bilsteins (NOS) Struts and shocks and they improved my ride dramatically. Just my two cents.
