If anyone knows or have seen the owner of the 1989 Saleen #707. I'm just trying to see if someone still owns it.
Thanks

Is he from Texas? I'm just curious my uncle bought the car of a guy who lived in texas and took it home and owned it for a couple years and it was stolen out of his garage. Never was recovered, now I know it probably was stripped, but I was just trying to see if someone one stupid enough to register it on the Saleen Owners Club. The car was beautiful. Never exposed to harsh weather and only 5000 miles on it

The original owner is listed as being from Colorado. Hope this helps with your search!

LOL. This a late response! I'm the guy who bought 89-707 from someone in Austin, can't remember his name. I too was curious if someone would be stupid enough to post anything on 89-707, so I Googled it, and found this link. I bought a 1 way ticket and drove it back to Sacramento California. Nice fun drive! It was a beautiful car! I bought 96-205 a few years after it was stolen, but it wasn't half the car of 89-707. It was originally sold in Colorado, and moved to Texas. I think I was the 3rd owner. Someone must have followed me home, came back at night while we were sleeping and rolled it out of the garage. Haven't seen it since! It think it was parted out.

sfm6s524,
Welcome to SOEC -- that's quite a story!!!
I'm probably not alone in thinking that car thieves should be strung up -- I've had a car stolen and stripped myself, and it's no picnic. Unfortunately I was able to identify the remains and it made me cry. Luckily it wasn't a Saleen, but it was a car that had been in the family for 40+ years.
The stories don't match. Or was the car stolen twice?
Anyway... neat '66 Shelby!

Stories do match. I'm the uncle. At least they took the Saleen and not the 66 GT-350 sitting right next to it.

I drive mine right into the garage every time I drive my saleen. I even keep her all covered up when I don't drive her to keep her nice and warm. My wife thinks I am crazy because I pat her on the @ss everytime I walk by here.
