I am putting together a list of all the saleen sr's ever made and I thought this would be a great place to get some info.
Does anyone have any pics or info regarding the Sr's??
maybe if someone has the saleen book they could give me build numbers?
The 1994-95 SRs were a more visible production/street car than the 1996 and later widebody version. As you know, the production SR was basically a street adaptation of competition SR and both are grouped together in the final production numbers after 1995. Also keep in mind that competition SRs were updated and then given new production numbers through their life span. As for motors? The race cars and most street cars ran push rod motors, but I can vaguely recall that after the 2002 E debuted, any street SRs were to receive the same motor, not a blown 351.

Most of what you see above are competition cars; meaning ?body in whites? with no Ford VINs.

Nah,
Your car is technically and "R-Code" car. Not and SR. Even though some R code owners added the dual plane wing the SR's are the only ones that came with them. That is the easiest way to tell from afar.

I don't believe any of the SR's came with back seats.
My favorite SR's was the pair that looked like twins to the LeMans wide body car....96-98 body style. One was a metallic black with a 351 vortech, the other was white with a naturally aspirated 377 w/ yates heads..carbon fiber intake....this is what people said it had when Steve pull up in it at one of the car shows. If there is one Saleen mustang I would take over a Saleen S7.....it would be one of these ones = ).
