View Full Version : Help with a '96 Extreme paint Saleen

Guys,
Someone in the Uk is selling a 1996 Saleen Mustang Supercharged. Build number is 02. It has Extreme paintwork and has only covere 8000 miles since new.
Apparently, it was built for an International show then sold to a Major league baseball player.
Has anyone got any knowledge of this car and whether the '96 Saleens came with superchargers as stock? Also what kinda price would be good for this car.

Hi Kev,
there weren't any supercharged factory Saleens in 96. Mine was supercharged by Saleen right after it was sold BUT it doesn't count as an SC.
Where is this one ou've found for sale then ?

It is in the Uk....the owners has a couple of cars that he has up for sale and this Saleen is one of them. I know someone who may be interested but wants to be sure its a genuine Saleen and as honest as the description.

ask for the bumper number, the number on the plaque and the VIN number, I'll take a look in the saleen book tonight and see what's what. You've got my email address right?

Yea,
I helped build that one. I forget who...I think it was a Florida Marlins pitcher. Anyway, the paint on that one came out pretty good. The Saleen paint jobs were pretty shi**y back then.
I think I put an S351 wing on 96-0002, leather interior from an S351, Chrome wheels, Alcons and an upgraded head unit. I can't remember anything else though.
