Ford is now building 2008 trucks, what"s the number of Saleen S331 have they made. and the S281 for 2006 & 2007 Thanks. :?:

We're in line to be one of the firsts to know, but nothing has been said to date.

GOOD LUCK - Been trying to get them for the 06 S281's as well. No luck to date.
I stopped asking and think it is completly unacceptale that in previous years the numbers were out right away and now from 06, etc they can't even get this task done.

Well I know that I got mine , and I really ENJOY IT. Power in the hands of a FEW. #309 S331SC.

"Completely unacceptable" is a pretty harsh term.
The numbers were rarely available as soon as production for one year stopped; or the next year began.
In the big scheme of things, it's just something that takes patience. We'll get 'em when we get 'em and I'll be glad. In the meantime, I'm sitting tight.
Maybe it's because I know Liz labored over the numbers, and I learned to be patient back then.
But as they say, patience is a virtue. :P

I agree it was pretty harsh - Didn't intend it to be harsh.
I guess my feelings got the better of me but I do feel that 8 months after and 08's now in production that the 06 numbers should be out.
I understand patience but there is a time when it gets tried.

What I heard is Saleen made (406) S331 Total for 2007. The 407 number is going to be a concept truck ?. :wink: :wink: Just waiting to see if those numbers are good. They came from a Saleen Rep. :) :) But the 2008 order guide is out and the S331SC price is a little higher with a few more upgrades.

Well I'm still waiting for some prod. numbers, 2008s are in the works now.

Figures are still not available, but I can tell you that original truck production estimates were a tad optimistic.

I thought I'd provide an update -- and unfortunately there are still no production numbers for 2006 or 2007.
The story we've been told is that there remains an internal technological challenge pertaining to the system upgrade done and the resources needed to prepare the data.
This, of course, is something new since Liz had retired in early 2006, and since Pati at Team Saleen took over Liz's job as well as juggled her regular duties in dealer support, her hands were figuratively tied by the powers above.
Now with Pati's replacement doing the jobs of three people (Pati retired last week), who knows when we'll see production figures -- but we'll keep you posted.

I talked to Jeff a SALEEN Rep. at the Cleveland Auto Show and he told me that the last S331 truck Number was 433 for 2007.:smile::smile: So SALEEN made 124 trucks after mine. Haulin S331 309#.

Keep in mind the old Saleen had a tendency to build and number the vehicles out of sequence, though.
