I'm happy... I think they came out well. :D
Since the SOEC plans to enter the electronic age... with fast and direct contact with the membership, this probably will be the last bulk printing of the newsletter.

Dave what do you mean? What are the plans?

Greg,
I think Dave means that he's anxious for his beautiful newsletters to be distributed while they are still current, and not waiting for months to printed and mailed. I think we (at SOEC) agree that we'd like to see links to PDFs distributed to members via e-mail when the Saleen Alley editions are complete (and not months after).
Obviously we realize the members deserve prompt distribution.
I know Marilyn wore her fingers to the bone stuffing, and sticking labels and stamps. The printing and postage bill was out of sight. Labels and envelopes aren't cheap either.
For what it's worth, just last night Liz urged me again to get us into electronic distribution -- she knows all too well about the work and expense involved in a print newsletter from all those years she did the Team Saleen news.
We have more server space thanks to a recent upgrade, so there's more room for newsletters (and more of the same type of wonderful content that Dave has worked so hard to put online already).
As much as I love the printed page myself (having been in the business), electronic makes sense for these and other reasons.

To offer services that will set precedence in our community. Not only will the next newsletter be distributed electronically, but the SOEC back catalog of newsletters, mailers, flyers, notes? dating back to 1991 will be made available for public consumption? with a link to the archives on the Saleen Alley page of the site.
For example, material such as the pre-Saleen Alley publications of Saleen Express and Saleening, from the early to mid ?90s, the SA-10 mailer that went out to SOEC members, since they had first dibs when purchasing these vehicles? and more.
We will grow the back catalog by releasing newsletters to the public after they are X years old. At the moment X is not determined. Example: Publications from 2008 could be released in 2010.
Will there be a hiccup here and there during this change? Probably? but it won?t be as aggravating as the previous way. Multiple parties invest considerable time into devolving the SOEC publication? it?s great to see a procedural change that will make this effort worthwhile.
The archives are up running as of this writing. Right now... 2007 back to 2004 is posted.
Obviously we realize the members deserve prompt distribution.
Correct.

Maybe limited runs for events, marketing, and for people who don't have the internet... but balk mailers are done.

devolving = Developing
A new webforum that will let users edit their posts... that's coming too.
And the removal of the saleenclub.net website.
