The Saleen Store at Spectrum Center has closed for renovation and temporarily relocated to corporate at 76 Fairbanks in Irvine. Rumor is they're working on a new layout in the store to accommodate more parts sales staff.

Until the temporary hours are set, it might be prudent to call ahead during regular business hours if you want to come to corporate to make a purchase at 949-597-4900.

Stay tuned.

The latest news is Spring and Ryan are still setting up displays and a register in the lobby of Saleen Corporate in Irvine, but stop by any time from 10-5 through this Friday. Call 949-597-4900 for any hours outside that to be sure a sales person will be there to assist you.

Next week they are closed for inventory and then the holidays, and won't be back until after New Years, so if you've got holiday shopping to do at Saleen, best do it in the next 3 days.

According to what I have heard, the store is closed and is not going to reopen and is being completely relocated to the lobby of the factory on Fairbanks.

They are remodling the lobby to make room for the parts & reception at the front door.

Hey, Wayne...

Yes, you are correct.

The Irvine Spectrum location is a heck of a lot of overhead and with production in Irvine ending (and subsequently moving to Troy), that pretty much seemed to be the true beginning of the end for the Store.

The benefit of the "lifestyle experience" by having a test drive of a new model right there, offering the benefit of a factory tour, being able to custom order a new Saleen (and perhaps even watch it being built) and taking delivery of it at the Store all went away.

Clothing and accessories displays are already setup in the Corporate lobby.

Update:

Apparel, accessories, parts, etc. are now phone or website sales only.

Hey everyone,
I believe that I had posted this once before, but take a look at the two pics that I have uploaded and what it states on Saleen's front door to the irvine spectrum facility. I have a coworker who lives near the area. Take it easy.

Thanks for supplying the pics 06Saleen373!

That was actually the 2nd or 3rd such note posted in the window -- the original one said "Temporarily Relocated for Renovation" (or something to that effect).

It seems the unfortunate reality was that Saleen Inc. was looking for a graceful way to say they had decided to close the Store, to perhaps appease those of us who frequented it.

The SALEEN lettering above the store has since been taken down, and the store remains empty awaiting a new tenant.

Not a problem. Yup, the inevitable has happened and I confirmed it today at the NY Auto Show. I work in midtown and took a late lunch to take some pics and get some info. I'll post the pics of the Saleen showcase with the raptor in a new thread. It's amazing in person.

I do want to say I miss the Store, and especially the people -- The last ones there were Spring, Ryan, Dina and Mike -- all great people.

Unfortunately Dina was laid-off upon "relocation," while the other three went to Corporate.

Though eventually Ryan and Spring were "retired" eventally.

Those were good times... I wish them all the BEST!

Wow, sorry to hear that. I'm sure Spring will still be with them. She too care of me after purchasing mine two years ago and got Steve to sign and personalize a reprint of my window sticker recently before he left at no charge. Being on the east coast obviously is not the best case for a Saleen owner. In any event, the NY car show this year was good and was nice to see the Bryllium Saleen with the auto roof removal via ASC. The Raptor was cool, but not my taste really and I can see now why Steve left as he probably was getting pressured into what everyone wanted which was a rice burner to some extent. Just my 2 cents on that. The Saleen display at the show was pretty impressive. I'll forward the pics when I get the chance. Take care.
