We need volunteers -- please contact me if you can help park cars from 6-10 a.m. on Sunday (you must arrive by 5:45 a.m.). The bonus is you get a good parking spot for your Saleen, you get free coffee and donuts, and you get a free lunch. The only bad part is getting up early, but it's a fun morning.

We also need goody bag-stuffing volunteers to help out at Knott's from 10:30 until about 1:00 -- free lunch is served afterwards.

Again, please contact me if you're able to help with one or the other or both, or if you can help out for a couple of hours on Sunday during the show.

Free Saleen hat and tire gauge to qualified volunteers!

We also still need a few more volunteers.

Thanks to those of you who stepped-up to the plate and are volunteering -- Ben, Joseph, Chris and Jim -- we really appreciate it -- we know it's tough to get up that early, but you'll enjoy the special luncheon and the goodies!

We're having a brief, yet very special Saturday morning get-together for SOEC members and invited guests in Orange County from 9-10 a.m. This is a social cruise-in with Saleen cars, coffee and donuts -- and a very special surprise guest.

You won't want to miss it, so please contact us for details.

If you're not sure if you're a current SOEC member and you want to attend, please inquire.

2005-08 Saleen owners: If you bought a Saleen new-from-the-dealer and haven't yet activated your complimentary 1-year SOEC membership, please contact us for details (see the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page).

For more information or to RSVP, contact (edited -- sorry, it's too late) by Friday evening, and provide your name, mobile phone number and your car info.

You don't need to bring your Saleen if you don't want to get it dusty before the show.

I hear there's a surprise guest at this Saturday event... don't miss this one guys, we've got a pretty good RSVP list already!

And it looks like we'll have about 50 Saleens at Knott's -- that's the best turnout we've had in some time, so we're all looking forward to some fun. You'll even see some familiar faces in the crowd, as well as at the SOEC booth. If you can at least make it as a spectator, you'll certainly enjoy the show.

What was that black and red car at the saleen booth? Is this another one off car they are building?

Hmmm. Sounds like you saw the Saleen Speedlab development car by Carlos. Did it have the Supercharged Shaker Hood? Red with black trim.

Or maybe a customer car. There were suppose to be a few Speedlab customer cars on display.

Or did you see a Red Flag Edition? Black S281 with red chevrons.

Jim D., what did he see?

That was indeed Carlos Duran's SpeedLab car... impressive assortment of go-fast parts, and I believe it's got a 302 in it.

Jared also had his S281 on display across the aisle, with an assortment of parts for the New Edge cars.

Robert,

It was great to see you and your family today, including your sweet daughter. As I said, we were sorry we missed you yesterday, but I'm glad today at Knott's was enjoyable and that we were able to get Steve by your car to sign it.

It was really fun for me being part of something that for many like you, it really made the day.

I speak on behalf of many out there who also appreciated Saleen Inc's support of the show today. Marques McCammon, Saleen's GM, was quite impressed with his first time at the event and was excited to see such a strong turnout of nearly 50 Saleen owners among the many Mustangs registered for the event.

I am truly grateful for your help today. I know you had lots of things going on at such a large event like todays. Thanks for calling me up...and helping me get Steve's signature on my dash....well it made my day... I'll have this smile on my face for quite a while.

Peace...and have a great week.

My eyes can't tell. Is this one of them there "rare" cast SALEEN Pro-M elbows painted black, or did they throw a sticker on a standard cast/plastic one? The red '85 GT looks awesome. I feel left out.:frown:

Three of my favs.

Knott's was a blast -- it was great to see so many nice Saleens!

I know I missed meeting a few people, but I saw a lot of beautiful cars!

Anyone with photos to share, please contact me so I can get them from you -- I know we had a lot of photos taken of Steve and Liz signing cars, which would be fun to share.

The Focus belongs to Chuck, who drove all the way out from Colorado -- nice car. Chuck says the drive was worth it to see Steve, and to have him sign his car. And we're going to try to get him some help on his body kit fitment issues.

The Windveil Blue S281 you may recognize as belonging to Ben from Northern California -- the cover car for the Winter 2008 edition of Saleen Alley. Ben was a great help all weekend, and was our Saleen Class Parking Chief for the 2nd year in a row. I think all the work was worth it to have Liz finally sign his dash on Sunday.

The beautiful SSC was one of two at the show, this one belonging to Curtis, if I'm not mistaken. Curtis also got his car signed by Steve.

It was great to see a nice turnout of Fox-platform Saleens, but we'd sure like to see more of you next year!

I really loved what some of these people have done to these mustangs. Here are some of my favorites... Alex's 93 Foxbody, Carlos Duran's, Steve signing my car... and of course my favorite... my own.

I ran into my good pal Matt Stone of Motor Trend at the show, and little did I know he was actually working!

Certainly a unique collection of cars caught his interest...

I should add that next to the Pantera in Matt's story rests Steve Saleen's white Ford GT.
