Does anyone know for sure what the horsepower/torque ratings for the Parnelli Jones motor are? I have seen in several articles that it was 400/390. But other information says it was 370/370. Not that it makes a whole lot of difference, as the motor is awesome whatever the number. But I'm curious. gr1dylan

you can find out what HP & TQ your own PJ made to the wheels. Thats all that matters. Doesnt matter what "rating" mfg's claim, although that is 400 and 390. Real world Wheel HP and Wheel TQ is what you want to know about the car you own.

Pre-production literature was 370/370 as illustrated here:

http://www.soec.org/datasheets/mustang/2007_h302_spec_sheet.pdf

By the time they were finalizing the engine build for production, they were able to tweak more horsepower out of the package thanks in part to better flow.

My first dyno at Dez Racing in the Spring of '07 was 324HP / 317TQ. Added Headers, X-pipe, CAI and SCT Tune Dyno at Tasca Ford in the Summer of '08 was 360HP / 350TQ. Had a SuperShaker, GT500 Fuel System and Custom Tune installed and dyno by JDM Engineering in the Winter of '09 was and still is 483HP / 464TQ.
