I have a NA '95 saleen and was wondering if i could get some specs for it. Mostly being the 0-60 time, top speed, and possible gas mileage?
On a side note... i spun a rod bearing and it needs to be rebuilt. Would it be worth rebuilding it as a 408 stroker? How bad would the gas mileage be?

I just rebuilt my 95 R-Code as a 408 with all forged internals. It is a great way to improve the performance and doesn't really cost any more than building it back as an over-bored 351 with forged internals. Haven't had time to calculate the milage as I have only put about 85 miles on it since the rebuild but I'm sure it consumes more fuel.

From 1995 period Saleen:
0-60: 5.1 Seconds
Top Speed: 172 MPH
Gas Mileage: 15 City; 26 HWY

Thanks for the info guys. I'll probly rebuild it as a 351 with some sweet internals. Hopefully that will keep me satisfied.
