first off id like to save the electric fans if possable. (thats the way it came) but one weekend i & wife went crusing. like doing the Newport,12 mile DR.& Thame St. (R.I.) an watching people tripping over the sied wales lookin at the truck. but one time it was packed, my wife asked "why is that gage moving like that?" it was the ACT gage. didnt like that! got to get out of traffic an it cooled. the next day i did what i think helped, i havent seen the ACT gage move like that again, an under the same cercumstances. on the SC models only, (have had both) they have what looks like a air inlet in the hood. well mine is functional. an had it done in an hour. ive gotten 2 benifits out of it it dosent seem to run as warm & with the windows open ya can hear that sweet sound of the SC! the wifw thinks its cool too! (now that she knows what that noise is!) will send pic's but has to be in E/M cant srink them small enough to pu in here.

Gomez,

Are you having a problem with your Air Charge Temp? Pics of the hood made functional would be great. You can shrink pictures at shrinkpictures.com. Its an easy site to use.

If you are having problems with your ACT, the first and cheapest thing to do is swap out your intercooler fluid. Change it to distilled water and an entire bottle of water wetter. No antifreeze....unless it freezes every night where you are. This dropped the temp on mine a good bit...even while in boost.

The other option is a killer chiller....$550. This item works in conjunction with your Air Conditioning. It DRASTICALLY...and I mean DRASTICALLY reduced air inlet temp.

There should be no warranty issues with the killer chiller or replacing your intercooler fluid with what I stated. I wouldnt use royal purple. Stick with Mobil 1 5w20 and a k/n gold filter. I would just keep your receipt if you are changing your own oil.

You will love the sway bar. I am going to measure the front swaybar and possibly replace it. I am also working with a fabricator to have a custom panhard bar made for these trucks. Calvert Racing will be fabbing some traction bars soon. Those mods run less than $900 for all and will make these trucks handle like they are on rails and totally plant the tires on take off....even if you have steeper gears and more HP!!

thanks Light, ? why not royal purple? i put it in my 67 Fairlane 289cu. dual 4s an it did seem to change its performance. BUT i do listen, there Must be a reason out there. (im a bodyman & painter) have done show winnwers for other people, now im doin 1 for me. i put my Fairlane together JUST so i could drive it this summer, after being in disasemble for 2 yrs. an took it to a show (only the nose is painted) an took a second ,WAAHOO! but i was parked next to a car that had a 10K paint job on it (i know paint) he took 3rd, a 62 Galaxcy 352, 4spd took !st.
