I am thinking of getting in touch with Developmental Racing and seeing if Garrett is willing to build us some new goodies for our trucks...

Goodies...

Panhard bar. This bar bolts from your frame to your "pumpkin" rear end. It eliminates side to side sway of your rearend. In other words, it really PLANTS your tires when going around corners. I had one on my lightning and the difference was night and day.

Spyder II connection. This links the front of your rear leaf springs to each other and to the frame. Say good BYE BYE BYE to ANY kind of body roll.

Both of these together would be in the $600-$700 price range and increase handling IMMENSELY. Before I give him some money and let him use my truck as a guinea pig, I was just curious if anyone would be interested in this setup. We could probably convince him to setup a group buy so we can get things cheaper.

Personally, I would like a panhard bar, spyder II bar setup, caltracs, hellwig rear sway bar and hellwig front sway bar. This combination should make our trucks outhandle MANY performance-oriented vehicles on the road. Oh, and these parts would fit any 05+ F150.

I sent Garrett a message to see if he would be interested in designing something like this. I will let you all know.

I am semi-interested... I like to go fast in a straight line more than around corners.

I'm really interested in the killer-chiller that you were talking about.

UNderstood Sman113, but if you are ever in a truck with a panhard and spyder setup, you wouldnt think twice!

The killer chiller, if you are truly interested, I can put you in touch with someone, just send me a PM.

Since it is going to be a little warmer this weekend I am going to take a look at our weenie heat exchangers and see if a bigger, aluminum afco unit would fit in there with some brackets.

SMAN113....

Our servers were hacked here at work. For some reason, me being able to send a PM is a result of that. I will PM you when I get home or you can email me at light02atl@yahoo.com

I'm in as long as he will ship to the UK and the shipping is not mad money, we have LOTS or corners on this side of the pond and I like to take them flat out!!!

I got an email back from DMR last night. I think we might start something after the first of the year. He seemed very interested.

I dont think he would have a problem shipping to anyone across the pond. Most of his current products have the option of coming in unassembled, so you can weld them together. That cuts down on powdercoating costs and shipping costs because there are not many crazy shapes.

It looks like DMR may require 5 committed buyers before this would go into effect. I dont feel comfortable doing this not know a price or how these pieces perform on our trucks. He said they would perform the same as they did on lightnings.....but there is no testing on the 05+ platform.

That all being said, I found someone that already has these in production. They are over $100 cheaper than DMR's previous generation bars. The components may not QUITE be as good, but the performance should be the same. I am going to order one of these and see how it performs and provide everyone with some feedback
