i was just wondering if it is normal for my s351 to rub on the plastic wheel wells in the front? in the near future i plan on taking my car and doing some "track days" but am concerned that under hard braking it will rub. right now it only rubs when i go over bumps. also i need to get some more front rotors, im confused about where to get them, streetwise has alcon front rotors for saleen, but they say they wont fit the 94-95 s351, i am in dire need of rotors!!! i bought my car used and always wondered why my alcon rotors werent grooved, turns out they were at some point, they are ust worn WAAY past the limit

Rubbing is normal on the 94-95 car since they sat lower than the 96-up cars. The rotor issue is pretty easy to solve. You will have to swap to the 96-up spindles. Thats the cheapest route.

I may be wrong on this but when I was looking for Alcons for 95-#58 I talked to Streetwise. They said that 94-95's had a different offset to the caliper that's why they need different rotors. I forgot how many cars they said might have the different offset. They thought maybe some late 95's might not, they could have the newer offset. He had a used set of calipers there and said the offset was definitely different. They were looking at maybe getting 94-95 rotors in the future. The 96 up rotors are like $500ea.
Baer sells rotors for less, Its like $850 for 2 and that includes a bumpsteer kit which is needed with their rotors because of spacers that they use with their rotors. When I talked to Baer they said that they fit 94-up, so I told the guy about the different offset on the caliper for 94-95 and he had no idea about that. With Baer if you buy replacement rotors again they are less because you don't need to buy the spacers and bumpsteer kit since you get them the first time around. So will they fit 94-95?? I don't know of anyone who has tried yet. If the offset is different on the caliper then no Baer will not work.
There is a guy I see every year at the roundup and he had some custom made for his....I think he said they were around $800, If I remember they were a 2 piece.

thanks for the info, looks like ill be going with baer with a bumpsteer kit. i was considering just pulling off the alcons and going with a brembo complete kit since its the same price as rotors and their rotors would be cheaper!

I don't see how the Baer kit would work if the offset is different for 94-95 cars, even though Baer said they work for 94-up. Baer had no idea that the Calipers were different.

Calipers aren't different. The spindles are different.
