I have a '96 s281 that i bought 2 months ago and has been running fine. But all of a sudden tonight when I was driving it home it started to sputter in low rpms and seemed to lose power. I have done none of the mods to it and from what I can tell it is mostly stock other than a vortech v2 and fuel pump? Until today it has ran strong and never given me any other problems. Any insight from you guys would be greatly appreciated as I am somewhat of a noob with modified cars. Thanks!

did you put a different octane gasoline in it? do you drive it everyday? or does it sit in the garage? do you know any of the maintenance history?
i hit that block about a week ago... i bought a used s281 and it ran great... then when the problems started they havent went away, the car was never properly maintained.
bit of advice... go ahead and zero out that maintenance record... get it all done (or do it yourself like i did, its cheaper) oil, filter, plugs, belt, 02 sensors, fuel filter, air filter, flush the cooling system, and gas tank too...
once you get it all done, at least you will have the peace of mind to know that its done.

Do you have any other gauges such as fuel pressure/boost? When you say "low RPM", what does that mean - please give us some numbers. Does it run OK at higher RPM, and just stumble at low RPM? Is this only under load (i.e. while driving), or if you sit and rev in neutral, do you still have the same problem?
