This would be a good Team Saleen question. With the reduced company staff, it could take time.

The S281s could be interfering with my judgement, but I would figure the white, white wheels, black stripes was the popular combo. With that said, the white, gold wheels, gold stripes could be the least popular. Blue and also the silver stripes seem to fall in the middle for occurrence on a white car.

does anyone sell the blue stripes?

Mark LaM. at Performance Auto Sport offers the 1990-'93 SC style chevrons on his website.

If memory serves correctly, the 1994-98 blue chevrons where two solid stripes. The leading stripe (closest to the front wheel) featured a dark-to-blue fade in the coloring. Then the 2nd stripe was solid.

Unlike the 1996-98 silver kit which feature a solid leading stripe with the 2nd hash featuring a fade to body color. This was different compared to the 1994 to early-1996 silver fade which was similar to the 1994-1998 blue fade but in reversed order. The leading stripe was solid silver with the 2nd mark featuring an internal dark-to-silver fade.

I like the white and blue ones. That would have been my choice.

1995 s51-R # 95
95-0095 is finally for sale. This highly sought after 1995 S351R is one of the most rare R code’s ever made. The car was sold on the Performance Autosport website by the original owner with 4,000 miles on it. I purchased it from the new owner with just over 7,000 miles on the odometer in January of 2006. There were many collectors chasing this car and I was fortunate enough to be the new owner. Almost two years later and the car now only has 7,992 miles on it.

The previous owner had Joe Gosinski at Chicane Sport Tuning go over the car when he bought it. If you did not know, Joe was one of the original Saleen guys who had a huge role in the S351 era, taking part in building many of them. Joe said himself that this was the nicest driving and newest feeling/looking S351 he had seen in a LONG time. It was decided that it was necessary to bring the car up to the 97-99 specs. Visually it was kept almost stock. The displacement was kept exactly the same. It is the same block but with a forged Eagle crank, forged connecting rods, Probe forged pistons and SVO roller rockers. It also has a 255 lpf in tank fuel pump, regulator, Anderson powerpipe, 47 psi injectors and a Kenne Bell boost a pump. It was then tuned to stock specs. I have owned three S351’s including a 1998 with 18K miles and a 1999 with 2K miles…this is by far the nicest one in every aspect.

The car has never seen a drop of water, not uncommon in the world of rare Saleen’s, but worth mentioning. It is the equivalent of a museum quality S351 but with the necessary upgrades (97-99 update totaling around $10,000) to make it equal to the final few S351’s ever made by Saleen. It is one of the few Saleen’s to have the REAL full carbon fiber hood. Saleen also stated that this was the only S351 to be ordered with every available option at the time. It is a "1 of 1" car. The previous owner actually took the drivers side Recaro out and used a different seat to drive around in to prevent wear on the Recaro leather.

This is the mint condition, low mileage S351R that you have been looking for. There are a few low mileage S351’s left but to find one with all of the options available at the time with the history, documentation, etc…they just do not exist at this price, until now. I have a 2 inch think binder with every piece of documentation possible. Some rare factory options include the Saleen aluminum driveshaft, Saleen aluminum differential cover, Auburn traction lock, magnesium wheels, 3.55 gears, 2 point chassis brace, the real carbon fiber hood. The car still has factory shipping stickers on the door panels and steering wheel. Floormats have never been used, etc...Feel free to contact me with any additional questions. I can take more detailed pictures by request.
