I recently acquired my PJ that has 1100 miles on it. When I drive the car at 40 - 50 MPH, the steering wheel shakes/vibrates back and forth a little. Is this normal or is the front wheels out of balance/alignment? To correct this, could a regular Ford service dealership fix this or would you take this to a Saleen certified Ford dealer?

Thanks,
AlanK

Alan, no its not normal. Now if before you bought it, it happened to be in one spot then you may have a flat spot in a tire or if not it could just be out of balance. In any case your Ford dealer should be able to help.

Did you buy the PJ that was at auction in the Sacto area or is this the one from the Redwood City area?

Thanks, I'll have the flat spot checked out. The car probably sat for a while before I bought it.
thanks again!

A co-worker was thinking about buying it. He loves mine. I know the original owner was trying to sell it on his own for a few months in the San Mateo area. I'll see if I can track the ad down. He might have the manual.
