Hi I am new here as well but I was reading your thread about the speedline wheels. I have a set of the 94-98 speedlines, the fronts are made in the USA and the rears are made in China and are the 18x10 wheels. They are both the lemans series. I was wondering if these wheels are aluminum? I need to get them refinished and they are currently chrome and I cant find anyone to do that. If they are aluminum I will get them polished and anodized. I dont know much about these wheels so im looking for a little help. Thanks

Yes. LeMans style are made of aluminum. Let the project begin.

Awesome, good to know. They just seemed really heavy once I got them off the car haha. Thanks for the help!

Just be careful with the Chinese versions I have heard they are prone to cracking.

The problem I am running into right now is the flaking of the chrome on the bead and it is losing its seal. I have read that alot of the speedlines are prone to cracking.

I think the main problem with cracked Speedlines was found on the Explorers due to the weight. Could be wrong about that though.
