Hello All, You will pardon my intrusion. While I am not an Saleen Explorer owner I am a car nut! I am presantly working on a 1998 Saleen Explorer XP6, and I come to ask your help. This Saleen belongs to my Lady's son who is returning from military duty, it's been sitting for almost four years in storage. It has been serviced once a year and started once a month but not driven. What I need is a parts source....right now I am looking for wheel centers and a set of chrome lugs....it has the white "mag" wheeles which are at the powder coater now being redone. Help me make his return home a great one.....Thanks Stretch

Welcome to the site! XP specific parts are hard to come by but I'm sure someone can chime in regarding those. I assume most parts stores will have the lugs.

Do you happen to know the serial number of the truck? We have 5 confirmed XP6's on explorerx.com but have wondered if more existed.

Best of luck! I'm sure he'll be excited to see it again.

Thanks Andy, I do not know the serial number but I did notice it has the # 46 (I think) on the front bumper. I found the wheel centers at Saleen Inc, $39.00 for a set, good buy??? Thanks again for your help Mike

Hi Mike, welcome to the forums and we hope you find what you seek.

One of the XP nuts should be able to answer your questions. The later Saleen S-logo center cap should fit the earlier mags. It's been done on SN-95 Mustangs. The original S center cap for those wheels is not longer offered.

Same deal regarding the lug nuts. One of the XP'ers should be able to know if the XP used the same lug nuts as the Mustangs.

$39.00 is a good price. Private auctions have had those centers for more.

Thanks for stopping by and gratitude for those that serve. All the best!

Yeah I meant the bumper number. If that is indeed #46 it might be an additional XP6 that hadn't been confirmed. I actually need the Saleen caps too but haven't shopped for them yet. Seems like a fairly good buy for authentic parts.

for your lugnuts (if yours still have the magnesium speedlines) go to chicane and ask joe for set, they are expensive but the only good ones to use.
As for the wheel centers, you could give it a try at performanceautosport.com, maybe Mark has a set on the shelf
