I just purchased a 1998 Saleen Explorer XP6

Hello,

I just purchased a 1998 Saleen Explorer XP6. It needs replacement carbon fiber mirrors replaced (i.e., the driver's side mirror is faded by the sun and the passenger's side mirror was replaced with a stock mirror).

Let me know if there is a place where I can obtain a new set or a vintage set of carbon fiber mirrors?

I assume this is the blue 98-0035? Any XP8/6 parts are hard to come by so chances are slim to none. My 98-0056 needs restored carbon fiber covers as well. Congrats on the purchase.

I wish you luck on that I have been looking for set for a couple of years now. Maybe we could find someone to make them for us and do a group purchase. I think one of the forum members here might have a source over seas to make them.

How about a source for the carbon fiber hoods also?!

Thanks, yes 98-035 is the one I purchased from Mark. That group buy sounds promising. Keep me apprised on an developments. What do you think the cost would be for both mirrors?

Congrat on the puchase Paul and thanks for waking me up Greg:tongue:
I do have one set, which I actually kept for the same reason, when the truck retired, and I would like to have it in : "as build" condition, I at least have set to do so.
I will see if I can have them duplicated, and if so I will let you all know about the price:eek:
