Just recently drove #45 900 miles across country went great no problems, except the check gas cap message keeps coming on every 10 or so miles hit reset it goes out. Fuel tank was 1/4 full so filled it up message still coming on any ideas.

Not sure on the Mustangs, but on my wife's Jeep there was a spring in the inside of the gas cap that was part of the venting somehow. If that spring got jacked up, it would cause the check gas cap light to come on. I took into the dealer and they spent all of 2 minutes with a small screwdriver getting that spring right side up again, and the problem went away. It might be worth having a look at yours to see if there's something similar.
