I have recently started looking for a used PJ and was wondering what they have been bringing. Two that have been labeled sold on ebay have been relisted due to non-paying buyers. They were 32,000 and 32,999. I have seen low mileage ones at dealers listed between 32000-42000. Any information would be appreciated. Feel free to pm me or email at mtcolgan@mchsi.com. Thanks in advance. Mike

You should not have a problem in the low 30's

I know of one here locally that sold around $29000 but I think it was in desperation.

Same car is being flipped in Oklahoma on Ebay for $34K and has not sold in a couple of attempts. Struggles to get to $30K.

I bought that car from Oklahome 4400 miles $30600 absolute bargain. Owner had car repossessed by Ford Credit.....gotta feel for these people who invested up to $62K for these cars originally. But hey same story in Australia with the Ford Falcon GT's they don't bring great prices on the second hand market. The original Gt's from the late sixties early seventies hit premiums 18 months ago some as high as $700K but only idiots bought at those prices and smart people sold.....I guess I am neither as I bought mine new in 1970 for $4790 and still own it.

I just picked up PJ292 with 253 miles for $30629. The original owner traded it in with 78 miles.

The dealer told me the trunk was full of stuff for the car.

I was beside myself when I opened the trunk. The first thing i noticed.

The car has BBK shorty headers on it.
The owners manual and all the static cling stickers were in the trunk.

The biggest surprise.

Numper 75 of 100 prints.
The last surprise wasn't in the trunk but a sweet bonus never the less. The dealer was giving away a free snowblower with each used car purchase.

I am really glad we took my wife's Expedition to pick the PJ up.

Great find!!!
One question...
How in the world could someone buy a Saleen and only drive it 78 miles???!

The dealer told me the guy bought 3 2007 GT500s and the Saleen. The paperwork from Saleen said the car was delivered with 41.8 miles and he traded it in with 78 miles. They said he drove it 2 nights and did not like it. He put it in his airplane hanger with the GT500s and his 2 airplanes. He has since gotten rid of all the Mustangs. I know the one gt500 was traded in with less than 1500 miles. Some people have too much money

What a great deal Mike. You scored very well. As a side note I also have that framed picture which mine is number 39 to match my PJ's number. Its a very nice keepsake.

They got a few hundred $ for the picture alone.

Hope those 175 interem miles were gentle. Just think with a 1/4 mile track and return road that car could have 87 passes>

May not only be the best PJ price, but maybe the best Saleen price ever paid.

From the March 2010 Car and Driver Rag that I just got today on page 44:

DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK

2010 marks the 40th anniversary of Parnelli Jones's Boss 302 Mustang Trans-Am championship.
In tribute, Ford is lending the name and the paint scheme to its 2010 turnkey race car,
the Boss 302R.
Based on the FR500C, the Boss gets the new Coyote engine from the 2011 GT.
Interested? Get thee to the parts counter of your local Ford dealer- the Boss 302C is literally a part number.
Only 50 will be built this year.
It comes as a $79,000 base model or with a Grand-Am-ready package for $129,000.

WOW! At that price, I'll opt for the SMS 460 (500?) or the Shelby Supersnake

The FR500C, is basically the same as the 50 Cobra-jets that were made with some differences.
Full certified roll cage, striped interior except for carpet, head-liner and a custom racing dash, seats. (no air bags)
They also beef-up the suspension and add a 9" race-prepped Ford rear-end.
Lot's of other trick parts.
And NOT STREET LEGAL.

As for the rest of us, used Supersnakes and Extreme's are a worthwhile option.
