Hey guys, I was just wondering if you guys drive around with the #15 decals on. Will these things fly off when driving or are they just for the shows? I've never put these on, anyone know if they just slap on or do I need to apply something to be able to center it and stretch it out?

I think one or two or three have been lost while driving. Not too common, but does happen.

I was afraid of that. If you say it's not common for these things to fly off, they must be made to drive with them. I might give it a try. Thanks for your input.
A replacement PJ cling kit is $199.99.

You're right. I called Saleen to get a price and that's what they said.
Any idea how to put them on? How do you center them without having to take them off and trying it again?

I got tired of putting them on and off so I had adhesive back 15s made and I had Parnelii Jones transfer lettering made for over both doors. Now I just wash, wax, etc. right over them. No more hassle losing them and no more hassle trying to store them flat and no more paying 200 bucks for a set.

It sounds like that is the safest way to go if you always want them on. How did you put them on before? Did you have to put them on then take them off to try to center them?

Nope, spray the area with a mist of lightly soaped water then your able to move them around until straight. Next squeeze the excess water out from under the decal the pat dry with a terry cloth. However, other than driving around town at low speeds they will come off. Do not do high speed driving or driving in the rain with them or you will be buying another set for $200.00.

Thanks Bruce. I think I will play it safe and not drive with them. I think it would have been nice to have the option of driving with or without them to change up the look but I rather not deal with the hassle.
Thanks for the input.

I had the adhesive number 15 created by grabberpony.com (in PA) and the Parnelli Jones' over the doors by Tiverton sign shop (local business). Both are the same size as the originals and the font is very close to a match. All said and done the cost was about $100 per set, 3 number 15 and 6 Parnelli Jones. Now that the artwork is done they should be a little cheaper.

Bruce, your car looks sweet with the decals. It's a good price. how did you manage to center them with the adhesive on? if you did want to take them off, would it damage the paint?

Spray soap water on the area to be decaled then once in place (centered and straight) squeegee the excess water and pat dry.
I haven't removed them, but have been told that the adhesive used will not hurt the paint when removed.

Thanks again Bruce. I might end up giving that a try.
