Oh, interesting. I saw the car, but thought it was an SMS 302, rather than the one-and-only SMS 460X - I would have paid more attention to it! So its a stroked 4.6l, right? I had thought it was a Coyote 5.0l when I saw the car...

Yep Chris. The one-and-only 2010 460X. Powered by a motor similar to yours... and tuned as well. :smile:

I didn't even get to see under the hood. Steve wanted to keep the theme of the new 302 moving forward. At least he started it for me to prove there was a real motor under there!

Doug; please let me know when you receive your first SMS Mustang. I would love to see it. I visited your dealership when the Dan Gurney event was scheduled. I saw coot's car there before it shipped out. Mine is a duplicate in Tungsten (modified 2007 Hcar at the Troy facility back in early 2008 302SC motor; hood; brakes; watts link; fuel; coolant; etc).

Funny you mention that. Just talked to Steve on wednesday and we are planning on a spring 2 day car show/track day event. Car show here and track day at Gingerman. No details yet but will let you know as it gets firmed up...

Please be sure to let me know...PM me...fly an airplain with a banner...smoke signals...whatever it takes!! I will absolutely be there! Will put the miles on for this one! Very interested in the track event..need to run the car legally...the 302SC likes to romp! doing 150+ MPH on I-94 more than once is asking for trouble!

Totally will! I am excited as well. Steve was trying to come out this fall but it got too cold to generate interest from the Mustang clubs. So spring it is. Probably just as well. The Gingerman track day will be great. Hope to see you!

Need to get my car signed; that way I can send the center bezel that Jim D. got signed for me back to him (the signature was upside down)! I will bring it; Steve will get a kick out of it I am sure (Dave B. also pitched in and got a replacement but the applique did not match mine).
If you give me some advance notice I will let all the clubs here on the East side know and advertise it at the local events I participate in...you should bring a car out to the shows at Ford World Headquaters; there are usually two events each year..I won an award at one of them...
