I see many of the car mags are coming out with the reviews on the 2011 Mustang GT and from checking out one quick at the airport this week the hp and torque sound right about PJ numbers.
As only a one month old owner of a PJ i would be interested in hearing others views on comparing the two (not that i would take one over the PJ)....just a conversation starter if allowed.

Great question! Always allowed. My take...

If we compare MSRPs and support. I will figure a new 2011 GT with the Track Pack option and leather will still be less than the 60K PJs commanded in 2007. Performance value will go to the 2011 GT featuring at least a 3/36 on the motor and trans.

I'm not keen on the OE 2010-Present Mustang styling, so the original S197 and PJ win me on their exterior appearance.

Comparing a pre-owned PJ to a new '11 5-liter for purchase, a tough one. I view the PJ as a moderately hand-produced specialty vehicle that resembles a 1:1 scale toy. The 2011 5-liter is a standard production vehicle that wins the segment. The PJs are an extremely great value for the combination of attributes they offer to a prospective owner.

I've driven my PJ three times since Dec 2009... and each episode has a story of this vehicle making a presence. All events involve the vehicle inching with traffic or stopped. No exhibitions of speed. Interesting vehicle and a great time.

I have owned mine for one month and Chase finance has lost the title....so i have driven it once (with my old SC plates...) so i am really wanting to get out there...but thought the '11 specs were in some aspects a good comparison (especially if you disregard their 3 year warranty)!
Thanks!

I received my PJ in early December '06 and even though I only just broke 5000 miles, each one has been an adventure with a lot of excitement. I continue to be happy with my tribute to one of the best racers ever and would never give up my PJ for a GT even with twice the HP and TQ. The PJ offers much more than HP and TQ.

The PJ is a Limited Production of 500. The 2011 well easily exceed 50,000. My money is on the PJ and the owners should keep them and not give them away as they have been doing over the past year or so. Just say'n .

I purchased my PJ on 10.29.09, it came from Torrance, CA with only 2352 miles on the odometer. I searched 2 1/2 years for one in mint condition, traded a 2007 Shelby GT for it. The sharp edges (Euro styling) and funky rear section turns me off on the 2011 GT. I plan to keep my PJ a long time. To me the PJ's seats, 302 engine, shaker hood, mini-lite wheels, 70's rear spoiler, etc. make it a total package & a bargin compared to a loaded 2011 GT. That's my opinion & I'm sticking to it.
