Q: Stock Half Shafts? - Yellow Label
Ok,
Anyone know if they change out the 1/2 shafts on the Yellow Labels? Or Blacks? I've gotten a quick look at mine while they were changing out tyres (the original ones that came on the care (Coopers) were too hard...and lasted 4k miles) and it looks as if the 1/2 shafts are STOCK Ford ones?? Anyone know for certain? |
No they do not change them out

No Post Title Manufacturer is changing them out...and as long as you dont get traction, you should be in the clear.....:confused:
|
So, now that I've replaced the stock coopers with something that should offer more traction I'm screwed?? What the hell use is it having 715hp if you can't actually use it?? (from factory)

Black Labels come with Pirelli tires.

Ok instead of perls of wisdom, any options aside from bloody screaming at Saleen for leaving the stock ones on?
And Yes, I know how to moderate power...this is not the only vehicle I have with this type of power,...and yes I race/instruct so in theory also know how to deliver power..... The question is more akin to: Will the stock ones survive track days or am I going to need to replace, and if so what's recommended? Ta ' |
I don't think anyone can give you that assurance. Things break. My advice, you've gone that far with the car, continue on. Cars arent perfect from any factory that's why the after market exist. I mean the car should have coilovers, billet sperical bushings in all the arms, the Energy Suspension bushings throughout the cradle, lightweight wheels, T56 Magnum transmission, metal matrix composite driveshaft, and the list could go on....but the car would be out of reality for most. You bought the beginnings of a race car, bask in the enjoyment of making it personally yours. Just my .02
