Q: Method to bleed Intercooler? - Series VI
Would I be ok using an airlift tool to bleed the i/c? I recently removed the water crossover to install a s/c dipstick. I've looked at the manual and can't quite figure out how to fill/bleed.

The i/c pump is running, i can see it cycling water thru. Im guessing just running it with the recovery tank cap off would cycle all of the air out right?

And if there were air pockets in the i/c system it would just affect iat's right? Is it possible to fry something the same as if there were air pockets in the rwgular cooling system?

If you see water moving through the tank there shouldn't be any air in the system. Yes you are correct if you had an air pocket in the system and no water was circulating it would effect the AIT's and it could effect the power of the car = cutting the timing.
