Help: Overheating & coolant - 2006 S281 Extreme

Hi I'm new to the forum i have a 2006 sc 281 extreme with only 5000 miles on it ,before i go out for a ride once a week i check under the hood if averything is ok i check the fluid, oil and the coolant in the small reservoir for the supercharge i cant see no fluid so a start up the car i put in like half gallon of 50/50 coolant and after my little ride maybe of 50 miles the coolant from the supercharger, its like it bypass to the radiator reservoir i have to transfer fluid from one tank to the other whats going on, i had the car for six month i went thru 2 gallon of coolant already i cant see no coolant on the ground and i cant smell no coolant leak wtf need help:confused:

The intercooler system & the engine cooling system aren't connected. If your losing coolant from the intercooler system & you can't find a leak. The intercooler above the supercharger might have sprung a leak. You won't see it because it'll go straight into the engine.

woop that not good news I can damage the engine you think maybe a bad gasket or a crack in the supercharger head

Validate there are no leaks from the reservoir bottle, feed/return lines or from the pump. If not, disconnect the two fluid lines running to the intercooler. Remove the SC lid. Remove the two fittings going into the intercooler. Next remove the intercooler and have it pressure tested. Make sure the o-rings on the two fittings you removed are in good shape before re-installing them. Make sure the SC gasket is fine before installing.

have you ever had this happen to you or do you no someone

I have not had this happen, But I have been through all these areas several times. The system runs from the pump through the heat-exchanger up to the intercooler to reservoir bottle and back to the pump. Your water is exiting in one of those areas.

Did you ever find out the issue? Sounds like a leaking intercooler to me, or even possibly the heat exchanger. We had a client who had a pinhole leak, never saw a drop of water on the ground, destroyed his engine. You really want to get to the bottom of that.
