The only other thing you could do is go back to the selling dealer and get an extended warranty added to the car that will cover the car if anything happens. There are warranty companies that will cover the things on Saleens.

This part "There are warranty companies that will cover the things on Saleens."

Does anyone know of any? I have looked with no luck.

Your best bet is to contact a Saleen dealer. They might have a idea for ya. I know I have spoken to a few and they did state that there are some that will cover them... Now, i don't know if that is only when they are NEW or if you can add on after the fact. It might have to be done through the dealer that sold the vehicle to you.

I have Platinum coverage from "Fidelity Warranty Services" - 5 year coverage for $1600, bought from the dealership with the car when new. I specifically checked that they will cover the Saleen parts, but I have not had to use their services, so can't really comment on how good they are...

Default Hi there

Well this is my first post here but I found the info I was looking for in this thread. I just wanted to share that I bought my Saleen on Monday brand new and was suprised about the whole warranty thing. Fortunately, Geico offers mechanical breakdown insurance which is about $50 a year for me that covers even the supercharger. They said since I bought it new from the dealer like that and its similar to how shelbys are done, that I am covered for 7 years 100,000 miles. Most of you guys have had yours awhile so sorry to say you wouldnt qualify, but I would still check with whoever your car insurance is with.

USNIS....

Make sure that you have it in writing that GEICO is covering your vehicle with a supercharger on it. It was posted on a truck forum recently, that someone's Geico agent told him that SC'd vehicles...whether from the factory or aftermarket, are not covered by Geico insurance.....but they dont tell you that up front.

Sounds like the $50 coverage is nice. Hope it works out for you if something happens.
