Default Q: How do you identify a Speedster?

What makes them different from a regular convertible? Are were all the SN-95 convertibles speedsters?

Speedster should have a hard tonneau cover, vs a regular convertible, that would have the OEM soft tonneau. If you have the bumper number, can easily look up the car in the registry book, if the car is old enough (SN-95s are). Not all would be speedsters, as this was an option.

The hard tonneau cover is the only difference?

Default Speedster package

Tonneau cover and light bar for verts is the speedster package.

Badging on the front fender's stamped "Speedster" not Supercharged or Extreme, etc .. Also original window sticker indicates model . .

Yes, but I would also suggest, that for a client (or ordering dealer) that was willing to "check" the relatively expensive speedster box, was likely adding other options as well.

I might be mistaken... but I want to say when the Speedster package debuted for the 1995 model year on the S351... The hard tonneau, light bar, body color interior door inserts, vented hood and soft Spyder tonneau were the package parts.

The Speedster package content changed throughout the 1995-2004 model years.

By 2002 the package consisted of a hard cover and a light bar.
