No. I do not believe Saleen produced a blue (any shade) S351 in 1998 or 1999.

Bright Atlantic Blue was offered from Ford in model years 1998, 1999 and 2000.

"Victory Blue" was a Saleen custom color first offered in 2002. This is a two stage candy paint. Not Ford Motor Company "Bright Atlantic Blue."

This (the above car) is a 2003 Extreme in Saleen custom color "Victory Blue."

With Saleen custom colors the name could change from year to year.

Example: Speedlab Yellow (1999) became S7 Yellow (2003) to become Speedlab Yellow (2005), again. It's the same yellow.

"Victory Blue" changed hues in 2005. It went from the bright sky color to a deep blue. The S7 pictured below was the second shade of "Victory Blue."

This 2007 Legacy coupe is also "Victory Blue," the second shade.

Hello, I'm the current owner of 97-227 it has less than 25,000 miles on it still. It will be coming up for sale soon. I met Steve Saleen at the All Ford Nationals in Carlisle this year. He was nice enough to sign my dash for me. I have pictures of him signing it...just don't have a clue how to upload them here.. lol.

To be honest I thought the BORLA Exhaust WAS original.
Thanks for the compliment though.

Borla is original, but it should have the gun baffle style tips. Looks like the tips might have been changed out to an OEM ford tailpipe setup.

OK, I do know when I bought it the car had 15,000 miles on it. The cats had been removed at that time and a free flowing X pipe installed.
5 yrs. and I've never done a thing but regular maintenance and 10,000 miles.
Just looking to make room in my barn. It'll be heading for Ebay after the first of the year.

Yup. They were missing for a while on my 1998, too. I took them off to make a mold so that I could make a pair out of carbon fiber. Got sick of the urethanes heat warping. ;+)

On facebook I stumbled across the wife of the owner of 97-032S. It is the moonlight blue S351 convertible. The car has 17k miles on it and lives in Louisiana.

Yes 97-032S
You need to get in line. The reason I know it isn't for sale is because I offered way above market/crazy money for it and was shot down. Only has 17k miles on it. Her husband was looking for an SSC for a cruise night car.

Default 96-390

Just wanted to say 96-390 is located in NY now. Car is still on road. In the beginning stages of a full resto. Not sure if the car will stay automatic or not? Only mod planned. Going to keep this one alive for sure though. Awesome Color for sure!

I remember seeing it on craigslist and talking to the seller before I bought mine. Post some pics when you can.

Carport storage in Louisiana is really bad news. The moisture from all the humidity gets everywhere.

Default update on 1997 #34

I saw 1997 #34 tonight at a cruise in at Marks Auto in East Granby CT. It's in rough shape.... missing drivers side side skirt and in desperate need of paint. It had some Speedlines on it but they were white. However, it's packing Coyote power. I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner so hopefully who ever it is can get it back to shape.

This car was for sale a couple of years ago as a roller and someone bought it and put another 2v in it. Then it was for sale that way last year and I don't think it sold.

The current owner who did the coyote swap bought it when it was a roller. He put a crown vic motor in it and some black leather seats in it from a 99-04 car. He sold it locally. then the buyer decided It was too loud and didn't want the car and put it on Craigslist. The current owner bought it back and just recently did the coyote swap. He has the skirts but they aren't on because he doesn't want to lose them or because they were falling off. That and something with being difficult to drive on a car lift. He buys and sells a lot of cars and said #34 will be for sale soon for 14-15k. He buys projects, works on them and goes on to the next one.

1997 #34 for sale

I will list the mods below, but the Saleen is #34, has all the stamps/plaques in the proper locations, it is a true saleen, very rare Moonlight blue, and has a Clean CT title.

I want to sell it outright, or would like to trade for a 1999-2004 SVT Lightning (mostly stock and original), or i can add cash for a 2007-2014 Shelby Gt500. Those are the ONLY 2 Vehicles id be interested in trading for/towards.

MODS:
2013 5.0L Coyote engine from a 2013 Ford F150 with 20k miles
2003 Cobra T56 Transmission with 4500 miles
FRPP Aluminum Driveshaft
3:73 Gears with new bearings and rebuild kit
Cobra Brakes front and rear
Power by the Hour accessory bracket to adapt factory Power steering and brakes and a/c
BBK Long tube headers
BBK 3" Offroad (no cats) x pipe
Flowmaster 2.5Inch catback
FRPP Power pack
Trunk battery relocation
UPR Triple hook quadrant and firewall adjuster
OEM Saleen body kit, OEM USA speedline wheels
Nitto NT555 275/35/18 front tires (brand new)
Nokian 295/30/18 Rear tires, 50%
Power windows, locks and lights all work

It is a rare car and runs excellent, i currently have a few gauges to hook up (coolant temp), fix the low pressure a/c hose, and little things like that, but i just drove it to South carolina and back (15 hours each way) with no breakdowns or issues on the road. Engine is quiet and the trans shifts great with no grinds or issues. Paint is a 7/10 with fine scratches and roof has some paint checks on the roof and the saleen body kit obviously has some stress cracks from temperature change and normal Bs.

Again, this is a feeler, would trade or sell, but if i sell one of my other cars before this then i will hold onto it. Make offers. Thanks

more pics coming shortly

yeah I have #34 now,Paint isnt in the best shape but its not bad, mechanically its perfect took it to the track this Saturday and it went 11.7 @120 with only the long tubes exhaust and tune. I was only able to make one pass before it started raining and they shut the track down.I was thinking about getting it repainted If I keep it over the winter but im not sure yet its nice enough it looks good but not so nice your afraid to drive it.Ive had some cars that was so clean I just kept them in the garage and never got them out because I didnt want any scratches or anything like that this one is alot more fun has the reliability, mpg and power of a 2013 with the good t56 trans and also has the unique looks of the sn95 saleen and lightweight chassis making it alot more fun then a new mustang IMO.

That motor is perfect for that chassis. I kick myself daily for not buying that car when it was a roller in CT. I would have done either a 4v or a coyote swap to it. Looks good with the silver wheels!

I would want to paint it and then at that price I could be into a S351 R code. Which would be a better long term ROI.

Still not sure how it still has 91k on it. The Rolling chassis ads for it show that mileage. It's been documented that it has been driven from CT to SC and back and still has 91k........From CT that's approximately 750 miles one way......

268 is running a cobra motor and the current owner is trying to determine value so it maybe for sale soon. He asked in the Saleen Owners group on Facebook.

Default 97#17b

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that I just recovered the Moonlight blue 97#17b. It's in a pretty abused shape.

I will post some pics and more info soon.

Kind regards,

Jan Scheppers from The Netherlands
