hhhmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....
The one on top is grade 5 and the one on bottom is Grade 2.... Both zinc plated. The ribbed neck is really tight so I drilled it out with a 9/32 bit and it is perfect. Real tight but doesnt require a hammer. lol Using the thickest head (grade 5) it looked like this: You may need another washer on top...but the head is gone and if you paint it black there is no way you will see it. It will sit better and more recessed if you get rid of the casting bubbles, which seem to plague every hole. Looks like its dremel time! Using the grade 2 will recess it more as the head is about 1/3 the height. Anyways....I think Im going this route. I will paint them today.

Primered a few then shot it with flat black acrylic.
Instead of extra washers I added some 1/4" ID tubing like Saleen does. Also snagged some nylock 1/4 nuts. They may be to tight....Im not sure yet if Ill go that route. Here they are all ready for a washer and install. If the nylock wont work or breaks the grab of the bolt loose I may try the special grip nut Saleen uses on the splitter, as they grab into the CF part. They look like this: I picked up an 8193 grinding stone for the dremel.... and began to flatten out the bubbles in the recess'...: Worked like magic: Its actually recessed... Laying a ruler on it doesnt hit the head. Even holding it at an angle so you can see part of the bottom you really cant see it. Yes the bolt was in there.....see? Did yall put the car on a ramp for the install??

Yes I used a ramp, but had to reverse up the ramps
Car sits too low now for the ramps head-on or a jack especially with that thick splitter I have Probably should switch to the OEM

Carbon side skirts
I did my install 2 weeks ago. I did use the bolts provided but I added a flat washer under and on top followed by a lock washer and they fit perfect. You really can't see the bolts unless u bend down but I am definitely going to paint them black

Robert, did you ever end up installing these? Did the nylock nuts/ribbed bolt combo work?
