Default Found: 92-0009 hatchback

hello, i have a lead on a 1992 saleen #9. if anyone could give some feedback on value it would be greatly appreciated. The vehicle has been sitting since 05, and i would say it is in fair condition. Definently needs work to be the vehicle that it should. Thank you.

Only 17 Saleen Mustangs produced in 1992, so it's a VERY rare car.

Well, 92-0009 appears to be one of the first two 1992 model year Saleen Mustangs to be produced. It also features the lowest Ford VIN number for the model year when compared to the other 1992 Saleens.

92-0009 was a black on black hatchback with the optional radar detector.

I did not know that about the vin #. That is some very good information to have. I would greatly appreciate any bits and pieces you guys have to offer. I have known this car for about 20 years, and have personally ridden in it when i was younger. Now that i have a chance to buy it, i am ecstatic. I just don't know a good price that would be fair for both parties.

Depends on the condition of the vehicle. If it is in nice original condition with original paint and Saleen components, value could be in the 25-30K range.

If you can describe your "fair condition" assessment, it may be easier to tag a price range to it.

Black was the most popular exterior color on the 1992 Saleen Mustang, with seven units produced in this hue.

The vehicle has about 2 inches of dust on it at the moment, but i do know that it is an all original nonmolested saleen (including exhaust, paint, and body components). It is kind of hard to tell the condition of paint though.

How many miles? Not that miles are affirmation of condition, but the chances of a mint top shelf car are better with a lower mile car (maybe maybe under 10k) vs 50k+ miles
