Default Q: Rear Monroe shock bushing available?

or is it part of the whole shock absorber assembly?

I just got my 1 owner '89 out and drove it 170 miles round trip to the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Ky today. On the drive home I started to get a rattle, thought it might be exhaust. When I got home and looked under car the drivers side shock bushing is gone. Car has 32K miles.

If it is a Racecraft bushing, can I buy somewhere?
If it's part of the shock assembly, can an exact replacement be found?

Thanks!

Norm

I believe "some" had success buying red urethane bushings from places like Energy Suspension.

OK, thanks Dave. Maybe someone will chime in later with a part # or the exact size I need to ask for if I contact Energy Suspension.

Anybody get these from Energy Suspension? If so, did they work? And do you have a part number?

Norm,

I purchased the following bushings from Summit. I forget which one ended actually working, but I swapped the rear bushing out in about 10 minutes. I held up the new bushing and compared it to the one on the shock and completed the change over.

Bushings, Shock, Polyurethane, Red, Straight Eye, 1.250 in. Long, .625 in. I.D., 1.125 in. O.D., Pair (Mfr. #: 9-8141R)

Bushings, Shock, Polyurethane, Red, Hourglass Eye, 1.440 in. Long, .625 in. I.D., 1.090 in. O.D., Pair (Mfr. #: 19-909)

Thanks 70 cobrajet.

I ordered all four items a few minutes ago. Price was so low why not?

I'll try to remember to post on here which one is the best fit, for the next person who has this happen.
