HID conversion

do I need a new wiring harness for upgrading to HIDS. The used ones I won on ebay don't appear to come w/ manual or harness?

I have a hid kit that should work. I was planning on making some retrofit headlights, but I really dont have the time

are the ballasts housed inside the headlamp or outside? I recieved my shipment but haven't dissasembled it to see what's inside. Not to mention the lens are painted black?

you must have bought the ones I was looking at on ebay? I think the saleen kit the ballests are on the outside, but im not sure my saleen didnt have them.
