I sent a note to Mustang Australia seeking more information.

The "2009" model year designation threw me. It does appear Saleen Inc produced a custom paint, Grabber Blue, Mustang for export to Australia. Though it was a 2008 model and incorrectly notated as an S281.

Will update post when more is known.

Without speaking to the dealer or having a VIN, my speculation is this vehicle will be 08-0008.

A few side notes:

The 2008 H281 was not a listed model offered for the 2008 model year. This vehicle appears similar to the 2007 H281 except it features 19" wheels and the shaker hood scoop.

Around 2010-11 there were a number of Saleen shaker base emblems on eBay. One version was chrome like the emblem featured on all the 2007 S302 PJ and most of the 2008 H302 (non Supercharged) models I've seen.

The other version featured a red accented "S" logo. Like the above vehicle. This is the first shaker base I've seen with the red version.

These are the only photos I have. I am 90% positive the car is 08-0008 of the Heritage series. Since it was an automatic, it did not get the 302 that was standard in 2008.
