Default Q: Saleen purchase? - 2011 302 convertible

Hi there all

First time posting as I'm considering buying an all original 2011 302 manual convertible. The car looks nice in the pics and its only done 24,900 miles, one lady owner and is not modified

I was just wondering what sort of money (ball park figure within $5000) I should be paying for one

Is $30,000 to much to little?
Is $19,000 to much to little?

I'm NOT trying to hold anyone to a figure....just need to know roughly what sort of money I should expect to pay for a 302 saleen in good condition

Thanks in advance
Nick

this is my first Saleen ever...Last car I owned was a 2010 Shelby GT500 convertible that we bought new....other than that, all my mustangs have been 65-69 fastbacks and such so Im not up to speed on Saleen stats so Im not sure what SPV or SMS mean sorry

She did mention it was number twenty something and we havent got that far yet with Saleen build sheet/VIN numbers etc

All the pics are on the Classic car trader Facebook page here

SPV is Saleen Performance Vehicles... When Steve Saleen did not own the rights to his name. I believe this is a SPV vehicle for a few reasons. First, because the serial number plate says it was made in the Motor City (Detroit, MI) I think this is when Revstone owned the rights to Saleen. Revstone was located in Detroit, while Steve was in Corona, CA. Second, The trunk cover between the tail lights also says "Saleen". I don't believe Steve Saleen started using that again until he owned his name again in 2012 or 2013. Lastly, I don't see a windshield sticker. I've seen other Revstone (SPV) cars without them too... Whereas Steve Saleen has always put either SMS or Saleen on the windshield.

SMS is Steve Saleen's initials and it is what he manufactured his cars under for a few years (about 2008-2009 to 2011-2012). The company was called SMS Supercars

Definately an SPV - I have 11-025, almost identical other than color.

Do your homework... lots of 'comments' here about the SMS versus SPV past history. Bottom line, buy the car if you like it but nobody knows what the future values will be because of the issues between the former company (SPV) and the new company (SMS). Also, the "Saleen" specific parts are virtually impossible to find or get unless you find them on fleabay, whatever stock they still have in Michigan or some of the hoarders around here.
