Nice.

What rear end gear ratio do you have on that guy?

We went from 410 to 373 which work far better with this 6 speed gear ratio.

Was that 165 in the mile? What kind of HP or you putting down? Do you do any extra aero like block off front end and tape hood joints? What mph do you get in the 1/4 mile?

That was a Magnum run which is 1.5 miles. Are best run last april was 157 at the mile at 167.3 at 1.5 miles. Did not tape up the front end. We are running 480 HP to the rear on a Mustang dyno or 530 if you have a Dyno Jet.
We are hoping to break 170 in a few weeks at the next event. After 170 MPH I would have to double my HP to get to 200 MPH. I can't tell you the 1/4 mile times, I have never run them.

Are you using anything for securing the hood. It always scares me to see the edges of the hood flapping at 100+ mph.

I have two hood pins one on each corner. The car has the Tiger Racing hood where allot of the air is vented through.

Sid,

It is an amazing time out there. You see every type of car you can imagine. You also get a real good perspective on the true top end of cars. Over the last four years, the most consistent top end car out there is this twin turbo Ford GT. I think his best run last year was 235 mph.

Have a good one.

I noticed that the satellite snapshot on google earth just happened to be of one of the speed events at the Mojave airport last year.

I'm signed up for both days right now, but we're chasing a misfire issue... My tuner said it will be ready, so we'll see.

Well, at about 2:30 today it became apparent that the car would not be ready...to many little things popping up. But I'm here to watch.

The numbers are the three trap speeds, left to right 1/2-mile trap/1-mile trap/1.5-mile trap
