http://saleenforums.soec.org/showthread.php?t=6007

admisistrator dave found this add back in 2009 on my car this was great getting back history on this car I also called saleen before tradeing and verified the dash vin with them and it is a true saleen with all badges and plates.
back in 2009 the add says 15k on rebuild but im not so sure on that one car has aftermarket intake and looks to be running a cobra throttle body and aftermarket cams man does she lope and power is there in large quanities
dave told me I had 1 of 29 in black
1 of 17 with 355 gears
1 of 16 with chrome 5 spoke wheels
and my car is signed with a silver sharpe on the dash by steve saleen himself
I will post pictures this weekend everybody

The aluminum intake manifold is the old Ford Motorsport 4.6 (M-9424-E46) unit.

Similar to the 2001 Bullitt manifold but different.

You should check and see if you the the old Ford Motorsport cylinder heads.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Front seats are aftermarket items. This car should have black leather 1994-1998 Mustang GT seats.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Front fender emblems are 2002-04 style. This car would have had stock 1996-1998 GT fender emblems.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The plastic fan shroud / radiator shroud is missing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Headlights and turn signals are aftermarket. This car would have had stock 1994-1998 Mustang / Mustang GT lamps and turn signals.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Air intake is aftermarket.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As you know, stock 1996-97 strut brace was removed as well as the OE Ford hood insulation pad.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Appears to have a Saleen center dash gauge pod.
Default engine
engine runs perfect but burning real rich I think I got this figured out to aftermarket lopey cams bullit intake with cobra throttle body and 42 lb injectors but stock mass air flow sensor so im changing the mass sensor to one calibrated for 42lb injectors.
NO VORTECH INSTALLED YET
this car is setup for vortech supercharger has aftermarket fuel rails pump and regulator also dash gauge pod with boost and fuel pressure which is showing 38 at idle and never moves any advice on this I have not messed with regulator?
