Q: 2005 S-281 3V 05-1113 Supercharged or Not

I am having trouble trying to figure this car out. It is a 2005 S-281 3V which is not supposed to be supercharged. It does not have the gauges that the other supercharged Saleens I have looked at. Maybe Dave can chime in here as to what it was when it left Saleen. It wasn't uncommon for these cars to be supercharged after purchase as the parts were readily available. There are several 3v cars that were supercharged later and some with the Super Shaker as well.

It appears that this car is a 3-valve model that had the Saleen supercharger added after purchase. This is not uncommon as Werecow pointed out, and it is what I did to my car, although I went with the SuperShaker. Also, it looks like the previous owner went with the 475hp upgrade because the blue 39lb/hr fuel injectors are evident. Other Saleen upgrades include the offset chrome wheel/Pirelli tire package. It also looks like the car has the upgraded front Saleen 4pot 14inch brake kit. Other mods that are not Saleen are a Hurst shifter, a non-Saleen convertible styling bar, body colored side mirrors, and a Saleen logo'd heat exchanger screen. Overall, this looks like a nice, well taken care of low-mileage convertible 3-valve Saleen upgraded with the Saleen supercharger.

Thanks for the replies. I do Internet stuff for this car lot and did not want to miss represent this car. I have drove it and it is one sweet car. Just want to have the facts straight. I use 3 Vin Decoders and they all just say it is a GT Convertible. I really do appreciate the information you gave me.
