Default Q: Replacement Racecraft springs? - 1988 convertible

I recently purchased 88-501. It's a convertible and it seems that the original springs are sagging, especially in the rear. The car is nearly on the ground in the back with a 1 finger fendef to tire gap in the front and has a 2 finger fender to tire gap in the rear. I'm wondering what spring to use to replace them to maintain the correct ride height and overall handling /ride quality spirit of the car as delivered from Saleen.

Thanks in advance for the responses.

Both the Specific (1987-89) and Progressive (1990-93) rate springs from Saleen Performance Parts were advertised to lower a vehicle 1.5" front and rear.

If you are looking to match height and weight, that would take comparison research.

To dress your new springs in Racecraft Red. Word is, Valspar American Traditions Ultra Enamel offers a Cherry Red Gloss (165837), that looks similar to Racecraft Red.

I bought Racecraft progressive springs for Fox from eBay user saleencars84. He has them from time to time.

Attached is the car after new struts, all 4 rear shocks and alignment. Rides 100% better.

Default restoring ride height

Tommy T,
I had the exact symptoms of low ride height front an rear(especially rear) and replaced insulator bushings front and rear. afterward it was too tall but within 6months it settled to stock height (height in attached pics)...The rear insulators "uppers" on top of springs were pancaked..

I agree.
I'd start out by purchasing an energy suspension isolator kit at least for the rear.
Fairly easy to install, car will probably ride better too.

I know that car well, I met the first owner at a show in MD and Suzie McCauley owned it for years.

After rereading my post it seems I got the gaps reveresed. 2 fingers in front and one in the rear. Im going to purchase a set of isolators as suggested. Seems like an inexpensive way to possibly correct the issue. Stay tuned.
