Q: Changing fuel injectors?
Hey guys,
It's been a while since I've owned a mustang. This is my first Saleen! Anyways I have two questions. 1. I'm changing from 30's to 42's but it seems like the blower has to come off to get the passenger side fuel rail up enough to get the injectors out. The rail is hitting the elbow where the throttle body connects. 2. Does the MAF need to be calibrated for the 42's to run? The car will eventually get a dyno tune this fall but I want to get the car going in time for a local car show that Steve Saleen is going to be at and I want to get the dash signed. Any input is appreciated! |

Yes you need to calibrate the MAF for the 42's.
I believe I disconnected my injectors on the driver side of my series 1, and was able to turn and angle the fuel rail to slide under the inlet, but it was a tight fit. I think you can remove injectors on the 1st two cylinders, by lifting up on the rail and keeping them in the manifold, then removing them out of the manifold. I think i was able to lift out 3 and 4th injector from the manifold and slide the fuel rail out.
