Default Air conditioner compressor life?

i find it hard to believe with 7k miles that my air compressor is bad
but coming home from a carshow tonight i put the air on
started blowing warm air, then suddenly a burnt wire smell started coming threw
so i shut it all off got home, its dark so i cant see nothing till morning

anyone else have a low mileage compressor go bad on them?

well as it turns out the bearings went bad in the compressor as my mechanic informed me today
650.00 for the repair, just makes me sick with such low mileage something like that would go bad..
I will pick it up tuesday sometime an in a couple weeks it goes away for winter :)

Was storage or inactivity a culprit?

thats what they say, i mean its a fluke type thing, and i do realize it can happen with 5 miles on the car but i guess i dont use it so i LOSE IT hhahahahaha

i definately dont beat on the car, and i wouldnt think the strain of having a supercharger on it would do it ...

so im going to say just cause the car sits so much
