It should fit. Most were designed to fit the 94-04 Mustang.

Thanks Jason, but I already know it will fit, what I don't know is if it will be correct and it must, it is for a 98s351 with 2900 original miles.

The 99-04 tonneau covers had the point rounded but have seen both on all models.

The points that go around the light bar. Some were more pointed like the OP pic and others were more rounded off like my posted pic.

Here is another 99-04 tonneau cover.

On a 2000.

Here is one that is listed as 94-99.

And here is the other one.

Last one on a 97 Rainbow...(Mystic), LOL

So by the looks of it, it doesn't really matter which one you have because they are seen on all models.

The easiest way to tell is by the seat belt buckle. The 99-04 is smaller then the 94-98. Will not click in.

That and the humps are more square on the 99 and up version and the ridge behind the headrest is bigger more pronounced as well on the 99 and up version. The picture of the one called mystic is actually my rainbow car and that cover is from the factory. It features the rounder humps and smaller step up.

So they all work on any 94-04 Saleen convertible? My 97 s281 has the speedster package but I don't have the tonneau cover. I am eyeing one on ebay right now but want to make sure its legit. Are there many fakes out there or are most of these things authentic?

Post a pic but yes they fit but seat belt won't work if wrong year. I haven't seen a knock of with Saleen on the bottom of it but you never know.

I don't think I have ever seen a knock off either. Nobody has ventured to make one I guess. Saleen has to be the best looking one in my opinion.

So just make sure the seatbelt hooks click in and you are all set no matter what style it is. They both look great but I like the more rounded ends so there is no tendencies for it to brake off, trust me, they do.

Classic Design Concepts introduced an SN-95 cover around the same time as Saleen. It is not clear to me if the covers were the same minus the "SALEEN" impression on the underside.

CDC may have supplied the original Speedster covers. We have to recall the limited capital Saleen Performance had in late 1994.

I do have a press clipping from 1994/1995 discussing the Saleen Speedster and the designer of the cover. I don't recall the designer name, but it was not Phil.

It is high, but shipping is included. This one really has my eye because its perfect and already painted to match my car!

Nope. I almost forgot about it and managed to check it 5 mins before it ended. I saw that at 1 min left it was at $735 and I was like no way! It was exactly what I needed tough. Hopefully another comes up. I am gonna give the guy my dad got the car from a call and see if he has the original tonneau or knows where the original one is.

Hey all! I am new to this form, I have a 2003 Mach 1. I previously had a 1998 Mustang Gt convertible and I had a Saleen cover for it. I sold the Gt a couple years ago and I still have the cover in my garage. Here are some photos of it. It is in very good condition. It does have a couple small scratches on it but they are just the paint nothing deeper. I am looking to get $400 obo for it.
