Default Q: Anyone install sequential tail lights on a Saleen?

Has anyone ever installed any sequentials on their saleen? If so, how does it look and how did you do it?

I did and it looks terrific. I had TASCA Ford's Performance Center install them at the time they were doing other work on my PJ.

Kind of pointless since i have the 3rd light on the tail lights blocked by the plastic cover, you would only see 2 lights flashing instead of 3..

I have been wondering this as well. I have been looking at an LED set, whole housing and not just bulbs, that come as a sequential set up and wondered how it would look. If you are just looking at the sequential wiring you buy I could imagine you could make it where only 2 light up.

Yes....on Barry in 09 and on the Extreme in 11.
Even with two there is a delay so you see the effect.
Plus with the LED 3rd it POPS when you put on the brake.

Love it.

I know but you wouldn't see the 3rd light blink cause of the cover.. Didn't mean they wouldn't work, just that it might look weird with only 2 lights in sequence..

Did you just do the wiring harness Robert? Did you just leave the bulb blank behind the tail light cover? Lets see some photos please!

Got ya. I donno? I wouldn't think it would look bad. Same principle, just 2 instead of 3.

Barricade, I really like how it looks. What did you have to do for the bulb that is covered? I have a plug n play harness but haven't attempted to install it yet. I need "laymans terms" LOL

Good find Robert. Here's something else you might like: Third Brake Light Strobe. I'm thinking about adding it to my car to help grab people's attention since the tails are tinted.

I have sequentials in both mine.
Looks great.

Keep in mind the sequentials fire 3 lights and the Saleen covers up the inside one so you will only have two lights firing. There is enough delay between the second light firing and the start of the first that it wont look like it twinkles back and forth. It looks ok.

Here is a crappy video I took of it 7 years ago....
It doesnt show it well though cause the refresh rate but when I start to move you can see how it looks.
I guess I could take a better one now that I have a better phone.

Clicky Here for craptacular video

OOPS....I didnt scroll up to see this was posted 4 years ago. lolol

If your talking about the LED lights I did that too....but on my wifes car.
She has the Saleen heritage back end, which I think makes it really pop.

The problem with these are your inside brake cover will not fit it for the S281 style rear. They are flat where your stock light has quite a curve to it. Plus the hole cut for your reverse light is different.
If your talking about installing them without the inside cover, I dont think it looks very well. That is just my opinion. Several have done it and love it but I dont think it looks right on that back fascia....but hey....again thats just me.

OMG....I totally missed this question. Sorry
Im guessing you prolly dont need this answered anymore but here goes just in case:

I didnt do anything. It pops behind the cover....you just cant see it.
If I recall (Its been 7 years now) I also pulled the bulb and painted it with nightshade so it really doesnt put out light anymore. It kept the volts the same so the computer didnt think I had a light out.
Saleens back fascia instructions say to pull the bulb....but my car interpreted that as a light out and activated the quick flash to show you have a bulb out. lolol
